Eco Communities - Full Circle Refill and Save
NOW AT HELSBY LIBRARY
Eco Communities is a Community Interest Company based in Chester that promotes sustainability, reducing single use plastic and helps people reduce their carbon footprint. They work with individuals, companies and communities.
They have set up 'Full Circle' a Refill and Save scheme using the Fill Refill Co products assessed as the best by Ethical consumer.
It is easy to use the new Helsby hub, just order what you need on the Fill/Refill section of the Eco Communities website (full bottle / refill if its empty or other products in the on-line shop). You pay and then you get an email confirming it is ready and a code that gives you access to the hub and you go and get your full bottle or fill up your empty one.
Find out more about it on their website HERE
Christine Webber from CAF has joined this scheme and is very pleased with the hair and body products, all purpose cleaning liquid and the washing up liquid.
“I missed filling up at Just Footprints when the shop was in Frodsham and so was pleased to hear Eco Communities had started offering this service. I had a refill of my washing up liquid bottle and have started using the shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and body wash, it makes a nice change from the bars I was using, though we still also use soap bars to take swimming etc."
UPDATE - We have a local hub in HELSBY LIBRARY!
"As we now we have a local hub I have just started using the laundry liquid too" says Christine, "I was using eco pouches but the Fill Refill product is top of the list in the Ethical Consumer magazine so I have made the change."

The Little Flower Jar
The Little Flower Jar - newly opened at Lady Heyes, Pod 21
Claire Charlesworth, the owner tells us -
"I am only selling flowers from my garden and the UK to reduce the carbon footprint.
I don’t use pesticides, plant in mind for pollinators and to encourage a love of nature. The flowers used are seasonal, so arrangements are natural and wild.
My flowers come in recyclable glass jars, so waste is reduced. No plastic wrapping, excess cardboard etc."
